Our private lane is lovely  for a morning and evening stroll and perfect for an elderly dog. We also have a paddock which may be available (please ask on arrival due to our cattle grazing)

This cottage is perfect for two families, who want to stay together but can be booked with Oaktree for additional members at a discounted rate.  Couples staying in Oaktree have the advantage of being able to cook for themselves without going into Oakpond and have their own little haven which includes a beautiful wildlife garden and the private lane which is surrounded by our fields.

There are lots of wonderful walks including Brown Moss Nature Reserve with its woodland walks and  Audlem  canal locks walks.  The Shropshire Way and the famous Sandstone Trail can be walked locally with 15 circular scenic walks  starting from Whitchurch which have tearooms and pubs on route.
Shropshires most beautiful mere Colemere Country Park  with many species of birds is well worth a visit as well as the Rare Blue Studded Butterfly heath at Whitchurch.

    Kitchen

This is a lovely country kitchen/diner which has large windoe french doors opening out onto the patio and garden with wonderful views over the fields and wildlife pond. There is a microwave, a large 70/30 fridge freezer, dishwasher, tv/DVD and oven (electric) plus a slow cooker. The pine dresser keeps all the games and jigsaws for those rainy days.  There is a safety  gate across the french doors due to the water for children and dogs.  A real traditional country kitchen.

    Lounge

This cosy beamed Lounge is fully carpeted and has comfortable seating whilst watching the 40″ tv/DVD with free view. We do have a large DVD library with a selection of films to watch. Views of the wildlife pond and gardens from your comfortable seating are lovely with the added comfort of the cosy glowing embers of the electric wood burner which is perfect for those winter nights.

    Snug

This room is perfect for guests who want to want their privacy as it is a very relaxing room to ponder in. There is a cd player and radio as well as a desk for your laptop. The information files on walks and where to go are kept in here as well as a good selection of reading books.

    Bathroom

A family bathroom with a spacious shower cubicle and air shower. Wc and wash basin.
There is an additional toilet room available in one of the outside buildings but is only available if our showmans waggon has not be booked.

The cottage is rural but only 10 minutes away from an award-winning canalside village and 2 lovely towns (Nantwich and Whitchurch ) as well as the beautiful Brown Moss Nature Reserve, which has the Chef in the wood who sells very tasty home-made pies and pasties. There is also a wild swimming and water park close by as well as Shrewsbury and Chester.  We have five very good eating pubs including our village pub The Olde Jack Inn which is dog friendly  and The White Lion at Ash which has been voted the best pub in the country. There is also a super Indian restaurant that will deliver to the cottages.
