Oaktree
Oaktree is a romantic cottage and is ideal for couples or parents who want to holiday with their family who are stopping in oakpond but want their privacy in oaktree. This is a very spacious and positively indulgent cottage for two people which is fully central heated with fantastic views complete with its own balcony which overlooks the pond and Shropshire countryside and also with its own private garden. No adjoining door between the cottages.

Oaktree has one bedroom with en-suite (Electric shower over bath) kitchen/diner room and snug. From the bedroom is the balcony seating area which overlooks the pond and fields. Outside laundry room.
KITCHEN/DINER
On walking through the wicker gate and up the garden path you will enter the kitchen through the stained glass door. This very spacious beamed kitchen also has superb views from the kitchen sink window of the chickens and flower troughs and the side window overlooks the garden and fields.The kitchen has a microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, CD player, kettle, toaster and oven/hob extractor set into solid oak units. kitchen is decorated in tones of daffodil whites with exposed beams With views of the pond through the french doors to the rose wall garden. A comfortable sofa sits beneath the window and a oak twist legged table for dining. A tiled floor with an Indian carpet on top. Large storage space under the stairs for suitcases and coats etc. Double radiator.
BEDROOM
On climbing the stairs edged with black iron spindles with gold baskets you will come onto the landing where a built in wardrobe is and then into the bedroom. This is a romantic spacious room which is decorated in ivory colours with views over the pond through the french doors which open out onto the balcony. On a clear night you can see the stars through the two skylights whilst in bed. The king-size bed which is engraved with acorns is dressed in dorma shangria bedding with embroidered flowers and with matching rosebud drapes around the french doors. Antique washstand, dressing table with beveled mirror and bedside table makes this room very romantic. Thick fluffy towels are provided. Carpeted floor with one double radiator. The balcony which leads from this room has a table for two with chairs (spring/summer and autumn months) and overlooks the wildlife pond and fields.
EN-SUITE
On entering the bathroom through an oak stained glass door you find yourself in a romantic bathroom with large corner bath with electric overhead shower. This room has poppy red themes and overlooks the court yard and chickens.
SNUG
The snug leads from the kitchen and has a set of french doors opening out onto your own private patio and gardens. Views over the pond and countryside are seen from this room and from the side window you can see the garden and fields. complete with old Cheshire brick fireplace with an electric log effect woodburner. A comfortable two seater sofa and a leather reading chair compliment this room. Large flat screen tv with DVD player.
THE BALCONY
A good sized balcony surrounded by black iron spindles and baskets. The table for two is ideal for romantic meals with tea light lantern whilst enjoying the views of the pond and the Shropshire countryside. Two carriage lanterns light up this area at night-time.
GARDEN
The garden is to the side of Oaktree with a wall with scented climbing roses, which you can get the aroma of the flowers from the kitchen and snug windows. The garden leads onto the edge of the pond which is edged with iris and water flowers.the rest of the pond is surrounded with purple, pink and white lavatera bushes and daffodils. Numerous birds and wildlife can be seen as like Oakpond. Garden seating and table and chairs are seated in the garden complete with BBQ.
At the side of the garden, we have the Oakpond hens who roam in the paddock and supply us with free-range eggs. Honeysuckle wraps itself around the old log fence with lavender growing in front of the patio thus very scented during the summer nights.

FROGS RETREAT (SPA ROOM)
This room is romantic and soothing with mood lighting and tea candles for those long cold winter nights. A wall of glass with french door which open out onto the countryside and wildlife pond can be viewed from the 7 seater hydrotherapy pool ( completely indulgent for couples). Each seat has a therapy of massage jets for legs, back, neck and feet which offer a truly selected and invigorating massage.
An old antique mirror hangs above the spa, with romantic candles and also a table and 4 chairs for refreshments. We also have a shower, this is used before and after using the spa with towels supplied.
A large radiator on the wall for extra warmth during the winter months and a non slip floor. The Frogs Retreat can be locked from the inside for extra privacy and there are blinds for the glass wall.
The Frogs Retreat is available from 9am until 9pm. This gives us time to comply with HSE REGULATIONS to check the water and to allow for any testing to be carried out.
