The area and location
We are very lucky to have so many places to visit and walk due to the cottages being on the Cheshire/Shropshire Border.
From the Cheshire Plains and Delemere Forest to the canalside village of Audlem which has 8 circular canalside walks with tearooms. On the Staffordshire Border we have the wedgewood and coalport museums and also the Lovely Trentham gardens and monkey forest. The Welsh border is only 40 minutes away with its rugged hills and the largest waterfall and there is the steam railway town of Llangollen with its steam trains and horse drawn barges. There is a very good cycle route which passes through the village which has 6 cycle routes. The cottage location is close to a wonderful nature reserve with woodland walks and is well fenced for dogs as well as the Melverley wildflower fields.
