We do offer a discount for additional family members who would like to stay in our cottage for two people Oaktree. Additional family members staying in Oaktree have the advantage of being able to cook for themselves without going into Oakpond and have their own little haven which includes a beautiful wildlife garden and the private lane which is surrounded by our fields.
There are lots of wonderful walks including Brown Moss Nature Reserve with its woodland walks and Audlem canal locks walks. The Shropshire Way and the famous Sandstone Trail can be walked locally with 15 circular scenic walks starting from Whitchurch which have tearooms and pubs on route.
Shropshires most beautiful mere Colemere Country Park with many species of birds is well worth a visit as well as the Rare Blue Studded Butterfly heath at Whitchurch.
This is a lovely country kitchen/diner which has large windoe french doors opening out onto the patio and garden with wonderful views over the fields and wildlife pond. There is a microwave, a large 70/30 fridge freezer, dishwasher, tv/DVD and oven (electric) plus a slow cooker. The pine dresser keeps all the games and jigsaws for those rainy days. There is a safety gate across the french doors due to the water for children and dogs. A real traditional country kitchen.

Views of the wildlife pond and gardens from your comfortable seating are lovely with the added comfort of the cosy glowing embers of the electric wood burner which is perfect for those winter nights.

The cottage has two wonderful gardens which has three large apple trees and the wildlife pond which is home to a lot of animals and birds. During the spring and summer months, we have garden furniture on the patio as well as the hound hut. We have dark skies and no street lights therefore many stars can be seen.
The front patio has views over the wildlife pond and fields and during the summer months, we put out the garden furniture.
The back garden can be accessed from the back door and is perfect for your dog to let of steam.
Dogs
We love dogs and we welcome one dog in Oakpond (no puppies) There is a pleasant walk down our private lane and so perfect for an older dog that requires an easy peaceful ramble and we have a 4 acre field but please keep your dogs on a lead if there are cattle grazing in the next field.
We provide a dog bowl and towels plus treats but the only thing we ask, is that you do not allow your dog on the beds and sofas and also they are not to be left unattended when you go out as dogs can get stressed in strange places and could cause damage.
The yard is safe and secure for cars.
