Our cottages are all Home from home in peaceful and tranquil surroundings. Oakpond Cottages which overlook a wondeful wildlife pond are our semi-deatched award winning cottages and are perfect for the smaller family and couples or if booked together with Oaktree, will cater for the larger family (there is no doorway between the two cottages therefore complete privacy) Guests are most welcome to walk down to our farm to meet our animals.
Guests staying in these two cottages have the option of hiring our spacious hydrotherapy spa tub but only one cottage will have sole use during their stay and not shared. Early booking advisable for this facility.
Oakwood is our beautiful detached country bungalow which is situated in the village of Ightfield and has a lovely woodburner and a large safe and secure garden for children and dogs with walks from the door onto the Shropshire Way footpaths.
Our self catering luxury Shropshire cottages are within easy reach of the Marshes, Canals, Mountains, and Mosses including the last Blue Studded butterfly heathland owned by the Butterfly Conservation and the ancient Brown Moss Nature Reserve which is home to many species of birds and the Chef In The Wood who serves his home-made cakes and pasties to the Moss walkers. Ironbridge Gorge, The lakes of Ellesmere, Shrewsbury, and Chester are all within traveling distance as well as wild swimming and paddle boarding at Alderford Lake to playing golf at Hill Valley and Hawkestone. We have some beautiful scenic walks which include the Sandstone Trail, Audlem canal walks and 12 circular walks starting from Whitchurch, with a few starting from our community owned pub The White Lion at Ash Magna and The Olde Jack Inn at Calverhall which are both only 5 minutes away.
Some main events on during the year will be Cosford Air Show, Nantwich Cheese show (the countrys largest cheese show) and carfest. All events will be put on our facebook page.
There are numerous National Trust houses and gardens to visit as well as castles.
We are near to Wrenbury Hall, Combermere Abbey and Iscoyd.
