Our peaceful Frog’s Retreat is home to our spa-style hot tub. With its atmospheric lighting, heated sitting area, shower facilities and views over the Shropshire countryside, the Retreat is perfect for spending a relaxing after a day of sight seeing or walking.
Our hot tub is no ordinary hot tub! This is a spacious five-person hydrotherapy spa – perfect for soothing your aching muscles or troublesome back – with two built-in sunbed-style seats, a host of jets and a waterfall.
The Frog’s Retreat is a private, purpose-built facility, open all year round, with glazed French doors that open to fine views of our fields. There’s overhead coloured lighting and central-heating during the cooler months – so there’s no getting out in the cold night air. The hot tub is kept at 38 degrees at all times, unlike a wood-fired hot tub where you have to wait for it to warm up – and even then it might not be warm enough!
Children
Children must be supervised at all times and not left on their own whilst in the hot tub.
Maintenance
The hot tub is tested twice daily.
Food and Drink
Please do not eat or drink whilst using the hot tub as this will contaminate the water and will cause damage to the jets and filters.
Dogs
We do not allow dogs inside the Frog’s Retreat as they could cause damage to the tub’s shell by jumping up at it. There is a dog gate, though, which will allow your dog to sit immediately outside, and under cover, and feel sufficiently close to you.
Candles
Please do not bring candles into this room as they will destroy the tub’s shell. The Frog’s Retreat has coloured lights built into the ceiling and the hot tub also has colourful lights – so there’s absolutely no need for candles.
Smoking
Smoking or vaping is not permitted in the Frog’s Retreat.
Fake Tans
Please do not use this hot tub if you have a fake tan as this will contaminate the water and damage the pump and jets. Cleaning the hot tub to remove all trace of tanning products from its entire system is a very time-consuming process, and as a result there’s a £75 charge to cover it.
Mis-use
Please do not mis-use this facility.
Prices
You dont have to pay the earth for a beautiful Shropshire holiday with a hot tub. Unlike some other venues, we give our guests the option of hiring this luxury facility without automatically adding it to the accommodation price.

Weekly and short breaks can be booked, please enquire when booking.
Please check when booking your accommodation as to the availability of the hot tub. The hot tub is to be pre-booked when booking the cottage as this will give us time to prepare it prior to your arrival. It will not be shared with anybody else and will be solely for your use during the duration of your stay.
Opening Times
The Frog’s Retreat is open from 09.30am to 21.30pm, giving us time to check the water and to change the filters before and after opening.
No Guests
Only people who are named on the booking form can use the hot tub due to our holiday policy insurance. We require people to read the hot tub instructions which is in your accommodation’s welcome folder prior to use.
Medical Conditions
Please consult your doctor if you have a medical condition such as pregnancy or heart disease before you book the hot tub.
